I can see why Green Valley does not need to advertise much; word of mouth does the job for them. Green Valley was recommended by our mortgage holder as they have a vested interest in the quality of the work. They were not the cheapest of six bids, but considering they were doing a complete tear off to replace a roof replaced by a local high volume roofer only five years prior (by the previous owner,) we had the incentive to get it right. THEY went cheap yet WE paid a premium for the months old roof that promptly began to leak in less than four years. The poor flashing work and way too many nails per shingle only became visible once the leaking roof was removed. Green Valley was worth waiting an extra month for. The work site was cleaned up daily, a nail magnet was passed over the yard repeatedly, and work began promptly each morning by personnel who were courteous. Supervisors came by frequently and extra work (moving antennas and wires) was done at no charge, even after the job was long done just to improve signal strength. They also contacted us a number of times to ensure our satisfaction and the performance of the new roof long after it was complete. There are more than a few “two men and a pickup truck” outfits who will do the job for dirt cheap, but sometimes you get what you pay for. The previous company has done many roofs in our neighborhood, and when we called them for an estimate out of curiosity, they told us they had more than a hundred to do that summer, but don’t count on high quantity to equate to high quality. I would use Green Valley again and recommend them to anyone who wants it done right, not the cheapest.
