Karen Lea review about company B & R Fournier Construction

I had this company put a roof on my house. From the minute Ray's son got on my property it was a nightmare. I offered to buy coffee and donuts for his workers and instead of thanking me he told me that his workers did not take breaks. The word arrogant would be too nice to describe this person. They didn't use drop cloths, they stepped all over my plants, the son did nothing but walk around like a big shot and text his girlfriend all day. He took a nap in his truck too. When the job was done the gutter was crooked so I told the son I wanted it fixed. He told me it was crooked when they got there and he wasn't going to fix it. His son has no communication skills at all. He demanded payment and I refused to pay him. I spoke to Ray handed him the bag full of trash that they left behind ( I basically had to clean my own property after they left everything behind. )and was willing to put this bad experience behind me. Why I did this I'm not sure I'm still picking up nails about eight or nine years later and the edging of my siding has plastic hanging from the sides. So on occasion when it looks bad enough I have to go up on the roof or the bulkheads and pull the plastic that they didn't take off so it doesn't look awful. About a year later I started having trouble with my bulkhead leaking. Ray refused to help me and the Better Business Bureau is a worthless agency to help people who hire any bad company. After months of writing people online for help because you cannot talk to anybody on the phone at the BBB, the BBB determined that Ray would come and look at the property to tell me nothing was wrong. I did not bother. It would've been a useless meeting. Let's recap. I thought hiring this company was a good decision. However take it from me, if you want your house to look nice with no hassles -- do not hire this company no matter what the price. I gave up a price from another contractor who was $2000 more and I wish I had hired that person. If and when I put another roof on a future house I would never hire this company again.
