Rachel Wetzel review about company South Central Roofing Inc

My family and I bought our first home this summer, and the seller had disclosed some roofing issues. We called SCR our to scan the roof and provide an estimate of the work. They were excellent and friendly, and provided both detailed repair and replacement estimates for us to take back to the seller. The seller agreed to replace the roof, using their estimate, and wrote a check for the work to SCR at closing. All was well until we tried to call and schedule the work! I have called either the office or the workman they finally connected me to NINE TIMES since July 31st. They said they'd call back, and they don't. I leave messages, and they aren't returned. I finally talk to humans, and get excuses and attempted explanations, rather than accountability and apologies. The workman finally agreed to come out "either Friday or Monday, depending on weather" and was a no-show, no-call by Tuesday. I do not understand why this company wouldn't want money already promised to them, or why they can't find the time, organization, or manners to return customers calls and schedule work in a timely fashion. I am a patient woman. I believe in treating others how they'd like to be treated, respecting them and their time. I wish the employees of SCR felt the same way. My tolerance for this nonsense ended today.
