Melinda Lavelle review about company Pensacola Roofing Company

This company replaced our roof 3 years ago. On the contract, it clearly stated they would remove ALL layers of old shingles, but when the bill came in, they charged us $450 EXTRA because there were 2 shingle layers to be removed. Thankfully, we noticed the extra charge and made them remove it. Now, we have found that the roof has been leaking for a very long time, causing wood rot in our attic. Even though it is clearly due to a leak from their shoddy workmanship, they refuse to honor their 5 year warranty. We had another roofing company come to give an estimate for the repairs, and they said that Pensacola Roofing SHOULD BE fixing at no cost. They could have easily taken our money and done the work, but they told us to go back to Pensacola Roofing as it should be covered under warranty. However, Pensacola Roofing refused to honor their warranty, and said that because we didn't notify them as soon as the leak started, they were not responsible. But we DID notify them as soon as the leak was discovered! We filed a complaint with the City against this company, but because of the time involved in pursuing it, we ended up having another company go ahead and fix the issue. I would not recommend this company to anyone.
