Irv Tannenbaum review about company Hynes Roofing & Siding

Hynes may or may NOT be decent roofers. They know nothing about deck repair, or exterior carpentry. I believed the salesman's pitch about having a crew of former vets who have done 100's of jobs. Therefore,I hired them to do a simple wood railing installation and a more complicated beam re-enforcement. I paid significantly more the I would "a guy and a truck" . A 50% deposit was made with work to begin 05/08. Work was started weeks late, near the end of the month, by a sub-contractor, causing me to pay excessive additional insurance premiums. Material used for the railing was inferior grade and the workmanship was of such poor quality that it all had to be pulled out with new material and installer sent to do the work, Hynes left the job site without ever addressing the major beam problem. It's technicians had no idea how to address it. I asked John Hynes for a partial refund to indemnify me for the cost of hiring a carpenter to fix the beam he became agitated and flatly REFUSED! My attorney tells me that in Delaware County, the contract I signed gives me few options, other than appeal to the next level if I lose. BE VERY CAREFUL OF ANY CONTRACT, READ CAREFULLY...I Didn't.
