We just had a new roof installed by Green Metal. Ray, who came out to give us a quote, was absolutely exceptional. We did a significant amount of research and sought out many competitors for shingle and metal roof quotes. Ray, by far, was the most professional, and he was the only person to spot a number of issues with our roof. Green Metal was also cost competitive. Nevertheless, I am not AT ALL satisfied with the installers. Based solely on the installers, I would NOT recommend Green Metal Roofing to someone looking to install a sheet metal roof. The installers lacked the professionalism that otherwise befitted our prior experience with Green Metal. They did not come to greet us when the job started, they did not let us know when the job was complete and left without a word. The most troubling was that during the consultation/quote it was pointed out to us that our roof was in need of levelling, and that, without the levelling, we wouldn't even be taken as clients. As a layperson, I went out to the installers to inquire about the levelling, and was met with the response that they didn't even know about the levelling and said the levelling wouldn't even affect the installation process. Why should I, the consumer, have to tell you, the installers, that my roof needs levelling? Needless to say, I called the office at Green Metal, and I was assured they would be in contact with the crew. Once the job was complete (which I had to call Green Metal to ensure that it was complete), I scanned the drive way and our back deck for screws/nails. I found a few and got rid of them to avoid punctured tires and hurting our pets. With the installation crew, I am beyond furious. All in all, the metal roof looks beautiful, but I'm left wondering about the quality of the work.
