Make your customers understand that they are not being ripped off. When I set up an appointment with Jamie, he did not measure the roof and only gave me estimate off of what someone else had quoted me. I ended up getting a great new roof at a much better price because they took the time to calculate how much material would be needed instead of a rounded up figure based off of someone else's measurements and quote. Jamie took $800 off the original quote after I questioned him about the measurements,... that is when I knew i was being played. DO NOT TRUST THEIR MEASUREMENTS, I don't care about 2 free sheets of plywood if I'm being ripped off on material.
