Paul Pautler review about company Stellar Energy Contractors

Many issues with using this company. I really don't like to leave negative ratings but I believe some deserve it. Stellar was subcontracted to install my solar system I purchased from lifeTime Solar. I will address my issues with Stellar only. 1. Lack of coordinated communication. On a couple of occasions, they either didn't show up when planned or showed up unannounced or very late. This caused scheduling issues with my time. 2. The micro-inverters installed where not the ones called out on the permit and sales order. I caught this when I verified the equipment that was installed. This was a failure on 2 occasions, A. Ordered wrong part and B. Failed to catch the problem at the site when the equipment was delivered and installed. Of course I was told it was an order mistake but I have a suspicion it was the other inverters where cheaper. They did correct it after I pointed it out. How many people crawl up on the roof and verify the equipment? 3. The inverters initially were wired incorrectly inside the combiner box and I had to insist they check this out before they test it. They were wired incorrectly and they did fix it. This is pretty sloppy in my opinion. 4. Even after I instructed them on how to access my roof to avoid my gutters, they still managed to damage the gutters installing a broken panel. Conclusion. Since I don't have another company to compare to, this may be minor stuff, but Item 2 and 3 really irks me in that they didn't catch the problems, I did. If you can't verify what is getting done, get someone who can independently verify it if you decide to use Stellar.
