Do your homework. I had 4 roofing contractors all licensed and insured come to give me a quote for a new roof plus a contractor who uses satellite imaging software. Every contractor measured my roof at 2100 Sq. ft plus I had satellite images and measurements confirming my roof was 2100 Sq. ft. Dennis from exceptional exteriors came to my house while I was at work and told my wife our roof was 2700 sq. ft. and prepared a quote that was almost 2x as much as the previous 4 contractors. My wife asked why his measurements were so far off. He game my wife a line of B.S. about the rise and run of the roof; meanwhile we had 4 separate contractors go up and measure the roof plus the satellite imaging conforming the square footage was 600 Sq ft less than what Exceptional Exteriors was claiming. Do your homework before you have these guys come over to give you a quote, falsifying square footage to charge more $ is a predatory business practice. Even if it was an honest mistake...which I doubt because he didn't even try and remeasure after my wife told him about the other measurements we received; do you want a company capable of making a measurement mistake that profound putting a roof over your home?
