Beware of cold calls from John Whigham Home Improvement. A man calls you and tells you he is a local handyman that will be in your neighborhood and would stop by to give you a free estimate on any work you may need. I took him up on it, had to wait one week to have someone come to look at the job. He brought a whole book of other big jobs they had successfully completed on the hope that we would hire them for a big job. Our job is small but nevertheless we were told he would call me on Monday with an estimate for the repair. No call by Wednesday so I called them and they told me my message would be delivered and I would get a call back. Move ahead to Friday and still no call. They could have told me when they saw the job that it was too small for them and I would have called another and had my repair completed. So the handyman tag is only for them get into your house and then try to sell you on big jobs. That's shameful!
