The Osgood Companies made extensive exterior repairs and painted our historic home in Salem during Summer 2016 to Spring 2017. The work included complete exterior painting, rebuilding a large screen porch, roofing, and pointing of the brick foundation and two chimneys. In the course of replacing worn clapboards it became clear that extensive water damage had compromised the sill in part of the house. This necessitated significant additional work. We are very pleased with the quality of the work. Many neighbors have commented on how nice our home looks now. There were delays in completing this job as old house challenges required different approaches and work crews had to be moved from other jobs. Some of these delays were frustrating. However, the job site was kept clean after each day’s work, and Patrick Osgood is very straight forward as a contractor. For example, one small part of the job had to be redone twice to match its original appearance to our satisfaction. There was no hesitation to do this. Overall, we are very happy with the work and can recommend Patrick and his crew.
