Steve Sullens review about company ORAN Construction

We hired this outfit to install a standing seam metal roof on our Canyon Lake residence. The outcome was a mixed bag. On the positive side, the owner gave by far the best presentation and estimate (of 8 bidders). The job started on time...and so far, no leaks....and the price was fair. Initially, the owner was personable, accessible, available, and attentive. Unfortunately, there were plenty of ensuing hiccups—a skylight was removed (w/o notice)and it made a huge mess in the kitchen...and while cooking was in progress. We were promised “on site, direct supervision”—which did not happen. Cables and wires were not put back the way they were when the job was started. Existing minor stucco damage to a chimney was unnecessarily magnified by the crew’s work... ...and of most importance to us, our personal extension ladder was disassembled and stolen by one of the work crews. We were promised a correction of our loss several times...but after two-plus months, no love...no fix...no visit or even half-hearted attempt to make things right. Several follow-up engagements by us were summarily ignored, All things considered, I strongly recommend a “pass” to anyone considering doing business with this company. They started strong, faded fast...and most importantly to us, did not honor their word in an area of “pass/fail” importance.
