Helen Murray review about company Tilley & Co Property Maintenance Ltd

Tilley & Co did work on my roof last summer 2017. They were supposed to rebuild my half of the chimney and repair/rebuild firewalls. This year had another company come to repair firewalls on the other side of the property. They alerted me to the fact that the lead was not replaced under the chimney and it transpired that significant water had leaked into the roof space. Also the render on the firewalls was so thin it was already cracking. I employed the new company do redo parts of the job. When they cut in to the new render on the chimney there was a hole where there should have been bricks. Tilley did not cut in the new lead round the firewalls, so this had to be done again. The new roofers were highly critical of the work that was done and showed me photographic evidence. Conveniently Tilley was changing hands so that they did not have to honour the 5 year guarantee and I had to pay out a further £2.5k to redo work on-top pf the £8k that Tilley charged. Apparently Tilley and Co contract a lot of their work out. Absolutely disgusted.
