Sue Sanowitz review about company Boling Roofs & Sheet Metal

We hired Bernard to replace a roof for us. That roof was replaced one year ago and we paid approximately $6000 for it. One year later we receive a call from the inspector saying that they discovered wide gaps in the plywood decking underneath the shingles and the roof will need to be replaced. We contacted Bernard and told him about the issue. He came to inspect it and had the gall to give us a price to replace the roof again! He said that normally he does not remove the sheathing paper when replacing a roof and so there would be no way for him to know the deck was damaged. This is absolute BS!. First of all, assuming he is not lying and didn't replace the sheathing paper, any, reasonable roofer would spend the extra hundred or two and rip of the sheathing paper when they are going to give you a new roof. So if he is not lying then he does not properly install new roofs. If he is lying then he is simply an unethical contractor. Regardless - the point of this should be that Bernard Boling does not stand by his product and additionally, does poor work. When there are hundreds of roofers out there, hopefully this will serve you to just skip this one and pick another.
