Art A review about company A-1 Contractors LLC

Filed against : A-1 Contractors of Mid-Tenn., Inc. 1662 Golf Club Lane Clarksville TN 37043 Complaint Description: After numerous phone calls (in excess of 10) and voicemails, this company refuses to return my call(s) about water stain damage resulting from poor workmanship on the roof they recently installed on my home. In Decmeber 2011, A-1 Contractors installed a new roof on my house. By July of 2012, the roof was again leaking. The leak was sufficient to cause new water stains to appear on the ceiling in my home. I immediately called A-1 Contractors, and they sent out a representative to re-seal flashing around the source of the leak. When the rep was asked about the water stain, he said we (the homeowner) could, "Apply touch up paint to the affected area." I challenged him on this issue, and told him to let management know I intended for them (A-1 Contractors) to apply the touch up paint in the affected areas, since the stain was a direct result of their poor workmanship. I awaitied a call from A-1 Contractors for over a week, then followed up personally. After approximately ten calls, I was able to get a verbal confirmation from their staff that the issue would be resoved, and they just needed a week or two to schedule a time. That conversation took place in August of 2012. It is now December 2012, the work has no been completed, and they refuse to return my calls. I would like the affected areas repainted, as previsouly agreed upon by A-1 Contractors staff. This case will be reviewed by a complaint specialist at the Better Business Bureau, and then forwarded to the business for their response. It can take up to 30 days for the Bureau to receive a response/resolution to your complaint. You will be notified when the business has responded.
