These guys came out to assess my roof after a bad hail storm. They were so helpful and very reasonable about everything. They didn't try to make me do anything unnecessary and actually told me that I didn't need to do anything at all! I love their honesty because they could've easily taken advantage. They deserve everyone's business. They are caring people and some of the best professionals I've ever called.

Oh boy, where to even start! What an absolutely terrible experience. Bad customer service and poor quality work. These guys did more damage to my house than they fixed. I called Knox because of all the good reviews. I think the good reviews are for the Lafayette Branch and not the Indianapolis Branch. I get the impression that the Indy Branch is a new addition. A wind storm did enough damage to our roof and gutters to require a full replacement. I got a couple quotes and Knox wasn’t the cheapest but I went with them because of the reviews. First issue: I was told that someone would tarp my roof until they could get the work started. Several weeks later, no tarp and a thunderstorm came through. The water leak did over $2000 in interior damage (ceiling and lighting fixtures had to be replaced). Second issue: I requested that they get permits and was promised that they would. When work was to begin, they refused to pull permits for the job. I should have dropped them immediately but I didn’t. Third issue: the delays, oh the delays. I took over 10 separate days off work to meet workers or be home for material drop offs that did not happen. No one from Knox contacted me or notified me for any of these no-shows. I counted and it was 13 days that work was scheduled and no one showed up. All of these no-shows mean that my roof and gutters literally took over 6 weeks. (First scheduled install day was April 17th, finally finished on May 31st). Fourth issue: the damage and poor quality. I bought premium gutter guards but they installed cheap mesh guards. I asked them to swap out for what I paid for. They came back out and swapped out 80% or so of the guards but they installed roofing over the cheap guards and couldn’t get some of them swapped out because of this. When throwing the old shingles down, they tore 4 of my screens and did damage to my fence and my neighbors fence. They also completely destroyed several landscaping plants and I’m still finding shingles and nails they didn’t clean up, including 1 pulled from my car tire. Several pieces of my siding were broken. A window sill was pulled from the house (obviously from leaning a ladder or something on it). There are also several examples of sloppy, unprofessional and poor finish quality. I’m terrified about what issues are going to come up when we get a big storm. I’m going to have to pay another roofer to come out and inspect/fix what Knox did.

They don't communicate well prior to the work being quoted and then, again, when they are coming to your house to do the work. Also, the quote was overpriced for the work that was to be done. The people they used to do the work were very good, which is why I gave them three stars instead of one

A piece of our siding broke off and was dangling. It made a lot of noise. I got Knox Services phone number from the Next Door app and called. Jon stopped by couple hours later. He took it off right away and told me he will send me an estimate for the repair. However, it is up to us to decide whether we will get a repair by Knox Services or not. Jon even hauled the piece of siding away for us. I will definitely call Jon if there is a need to repair for our house in the future. We really appreciate his prompt response and great service.
