In 2005, Hamel Roofing installed a new 30-year architectural roof on my home in Falmouth, using Iko Shingles. A few years ago, I discovered that these shingles were defective ( obviously the manufacturer’s problem, not Hamel’s). Finally, this year, after just 13 years, it was necessary to replace the roof. You can imagine my dismay when, getting roofing quotes, I was told that the roof had been installed incorrectly, “straight up” in violation of the manufacturer’s instructions, thus voiding the warranty! ( This method of installation is cheaper and inappropriate for architectural shingles) No class action has been established for the many homeowners with Iko shingles despite the widespread failure of their shingles, including here on Cape Cod. But if homeowners ever have a chance of getting reimbursed, I will not because of Hamel’s dishonesty. You see his trucks all over town, suggesting a busy, reputable firm. Unfortunately, not! Don’t do business with him!

Just had my roof replaced by the most professional group of guys. Who were very respectful of the property and my animals. They cleaned everything up and left my house in better shape then they found it. I couldn’t have asked for Roofing Company that really loved their work. I didn’t have to look any place but the phone book to get the BEST. With all the apps out there I choose a local roofer. Angie’s and Home Advisors eat your heart out Hamel Roofing is in the yellow pages. Thanks Bob for a great new roof.
