I only gave this company one star because zero or negative stars were not an option. I hired Roland Slate Co. to repair a leak on my roof. After 4 different repairs to my roof I still have the same leak in the same exact location. During one visit their foreman suggested that I file a false insurance claim for a leaking pipe in my roof. The owner Wayne claims to have come out and stated that the leak was coming from a tree growing in my chimney. His workers came out and put a cap on my chimney. There is no top to this cap and I can still see the tree sticking out. They left broken pieces of slate and nails all over my yard. I refuse to pay Roland for work which was not completed correctly. Update as of 10/18/18 Roland Slate has not contacted me to complete the repairs as they claimed in their reply. I will attach more photos of the plants growing in my chimney that they claim to have removed. Update 12-12-18 Roland sent a person out to look at my roof. He was late for the 11am appointment. Walked around and looked at my chimney and roof from the street. Stated that he didn't see anything wrong with the work they had done previously even though the plants are still growing out of the top of the chimney. Then goes into the house and looks at the leak stating that I now need to call a plumber because it is leaking right now and it's not raining. There are no water lines running through my 2nd floor ceiling. So after over $5000 and 2 years I still have the same leak in the same exact location.

Roland Slate recently completed a major repair and partial replacement of our slate roof, gutters, flashings and chimney. The work was first rate and the price was reasonable considering that it was slate and takes special expertise. They showed up on time, worked efficiently, kept us informed about what they were doing and were very good about cleaning up. We have used Roland Slate before with the same good experience.
