During the Spring of 2018 hail storm in the eastern panhandle of West Virginia, we were invaded by contractors from as far away as Memphis, TN. Fortunately, a group of us on the cul-de-sac got together and used Wolfe Mattola & Sons on a referral from someone in the neighborhood who had a good experience. They are not a huge organization, and refuse to use generic, unknown subcontractors during storm emergencies. This, in my 50 plus years experience, means you pretty much get what you are promised, as discussed & promised. The interface with my insurance company went smoothly, as Bruce Boyd's opinions and suggestions were acceptable to the homeowner, the claims advisor and the contractor. Nobody felt stiffed or defrauded. While it took awhile to get to us and complete the projects, we were assured there was no reason to fear added damage during the waiting period: They had other 'jobs' in the area they needed to finish first as their damage was much more extensive and time/weather sensitive. There is no substitute for honesty. The same project crews completed the different stages; roofing, siding and aluminum work, with excellent detail work and finished appearance. There seemed to be no corners cut or rush to finish. It reminded me of bygone days of true craftsmanship rather than pure volume. Find and use these people if you want friendly, quality work. I will.
