Steve E wrote a review about a pipe leaking on a roof that we replaced. Above is a picture of a pipe flashing and collar for a hot water tank. As you can see the roof flashing is installed with the shingles. The storm collar is installed around the pipe and covers the flashing. There should be a bead of caulk around the collar to prevent water from leaking along the pipe. At the time we did the roof the caulk around the collar and the seal was fine. Some time later the caulk had failed and a leak occurred along the pipe. I went to the house and found the problem. I went back the next day to fix it. Since this was not due to anything we did, I charged for a basic service call and fixed it. We are a company that's about customer service.
