The old part of my high end custom cabinet shop was leaking worse by the day. I’d tried to fix it several times with roof goop but the leaks seem to magically travel under the surface of the combination of curved metal, low pitch built up, and single pitch metal. The local commercial roofers wanted to tear it all off and rebuild the whole roof. Then I received a flyer from Mast Roofing which looked like it might be the answer. After a consultation from Samuel Mast, I signed their bid and they went to work. It wasn’t cheap, but a lot better than rebuilding the roof. Every seam, penetration, and transition between roof lines and roof types was reinforced with fabric like the layup of fiberglass on a boat. The coatings were applied, with the option to include two inches of spray polyurethane foam for some added R value. The result was an air tight waterproof roof. No more discovering expensive cabinets had gotten wet in the night. Moreover, we saved money every month on our heating, and the building felt warmer in winter, and cooler in summer. We had one callback for a very minor issue which was corrected immediately. And that was 12 years ago and the roof is still perfectly functional.
