They fixed my slate roof for much less than another roofing company quoted. The other company wanted me to redo a lot of my roof. Mid state just fixed the broken shingles. They took pictures of all the repairs. I would use them again and recommend them

I called Mid State Roofing on July 6 after hearing multiple ads on the radio about them and how wonderful their service was, from small jobs to large. I needed someone to take a look at my gable vents on either side of my roof, as the wood appeared to be rotten and one side of one of the vents had shifted out away from the side of the house and there was a large hole there. I needed to know if a repair was possible or if I needed to replace. The man on the phone informed me that it may be a couple of weeks before someone got into contact with me to come out because they were dealing with repairs from a recent storm. I said that was fine and gave him all my information: name, address, phone number. To this day, October 2, I have NEVER received a return phone call from anyone at Mid State Roofing and have since had to seek service from someone else. Now every time I hear the Mid State ad on the radio, I am reminded of how the work on my house must not have been big or important enough.

I have used Mid State Roofing on several projects. I have always had prompt, professional & quality service. They are a family owned business that puts the Customers needs first. I would reccomend anyone with residential or commercial roofing needs to give them a call. Michael Olmstead is a valuable asset to their company and I look forward to the next project in the future.

We were presented with what we felt was an exorbitant bill for the hours spent. We asked if we could have a couple of days to look it over (thinking the pages behind the total bill would show a breakdown) and were told sure. All it actually showed was a total price and a bunch of nice pictures which are good to have. When we had the audacity to ask for an itemized list of hours worked and materials used we were presented with one on the same day. However, it was given to us in a surly manner and we were told he wasn't leaving until he received a check. We were not about to write the check until we reviewed the itemization. We were then told "I'll call the police." And replied, go ahead. We had done nothing wrong. He had already found a "mistake" of $741 and had reduced the bill by that amount. Gee, I wonder if we had paid them at completion of the job and not asked for an itemization if that mistake ever would have been corrected? The work was done adequately but what we felt was in an inefficient manner at times. There was never a question as to our paying the bill. We simply wanted to see exactly what we were paying for. We had kept track of the hours ourselves and they didn't come up to the total we were presented with. We were not aware that they included their loading the truck and their travel time as "hours worked." Our fault for not asking but we had never run into that before and it would have been nice to know that up front. Obviously we won't be using this company again. We felt insulted and threatened for no reason.

I have been using them for years, they are always prompt, polite and do a very good job. Their prices for jobs have been the lowest price of multiple estimates we've had on those jobs. They were able to do an entire roof of a garage that had an old asphalt roof, with a membrane roof and had this roof that is 40 feet wide by 70 feet long done in a single day and they assisted in moving the equipment on it out of the way and then putting it back.
