We just used Performance Exteriors & Contracting to finish our basement and are more than happy with the results. The basement looks awesome and was done in the timeframe promised. Chad is easy to get a hold of and very responsive in addressing any issues or questions we had in the process. They do more than roofs and exteriors!

Adam from Performance Exteriors responded promptly at the height of the season. The work was professional and timely.

Adam at Performance Exteriors used to be our only phone call for roofing and siding for Vision Properties. However, this year they changed their policy so that all calls (inspection, minor repair, etc) have a minimum $350 charge. So, even if they just come out for an hour to do a minor repair, it's $350. We sent the following email to the owner on Feb 7 and the owner still has yet to respond as of today aside from having Adam call us, but Adam wasn't given any ability to negotiate. We're very sad to have to stop working with Adam, but refuse to give business to a company where the owner engages in price gouging and cares so little about his customers. My wife and I own Vision Properties. We've been working with Adam for the past year and a half using Performance Exteriors as our exclusive roofing company. This resulted in $22,885 for you in 2017 and $16,375 for you in 2018. Since I started working with Adam, he has been my only call when we have a roofing issue at any of our 12 properties in Dane and Rock counties or any of the properties we were flipping. The work done has always been high quality and therefore I've recommended your company throughout the Madison Real Estate Investors Association, Madison Area Realtor's FB group, Inventure Realty Group, individual contacts, and various online reviews. Long story short, you've had a loyal and steady customer, solid reviews, and our business is continuing to grow. However, early this year, I asked Adam if you folks could do a minor siding repair at a property that you did a roof at last year. Matt came back with a bid for $350. The description on the bid is "Put a metal cap on corner post to prevent water, Fix siding piece that keeps falling in same area." I said that was a crazy amount of money for what sounded like an hour's work or so but he said that you were now doing a minimum $350 charge for any work. I said alright since we needed it done and I couldn't find anyone else with an aluminum break. However, when the work was completed the metal was unpainted white which didn't match the siding, wasn't caulked or sealed, and just generally looked like a very poor handyman job. This was supposed to be completed on 1/15, but Adam is still working on correcting Matt's work to match the color, caulk it, and get it looking decent. At the same time, I asked Adam and Matt to bid a larger siding repair job in Cambridge. He said the work would be done on 1/15 for $750. Since that time, every couple days I've been told it was going to be done "tomorrow". I gave the tenants notice numerous times and the work didn't get done. This work was finally completed yesterday, and my understanding is that it took 1 guy less than 5 hours and basically no materials cost aside from a $55 sheet of plywood which was done as a change order. So, now you folks are asking for $805 for 5 hours of work and a $20-30 sheet of plywood. I absolutely want you folks to make a profit and stay in business, and I understand that this is an industry riddled with delays and generally has unforeseen costs that have to be passed onto the customer through change orders. I can't think of a single project you folks have done that has happened on time and I think they've all had change orders increasing the costs. However, I've always told Adam that we'll pay what it takes to get the job done right and haven't asked for discounts for the delays. However, charging $350 for an hour job that still isn't done right 3 weeks later is completely unacceptable. Similarly, charging $805 for a 5 hour job that gets delayed by 3 weeks is also unacceptable. That's $150/hour. That's more than I pay our highest cost electricians and plumbers. Not offering any credit for the continued delays and for not even having the work done properly three weeks later is adding insult to injury.

I hired them to replace my roof from hail damage. They did a great job of helping me through the process and working with my insurance company to get the coverage I needed. Adam's customer service was excellent and kept good communication lines open throughout the whole process. I would recommend them again in the future.

They were quick to respond to my roofing estimate even though I said I would be getting multiple bids. I decided to go with their company even though they didn't have the lowest bid because of the rep who came out to my property. Adam went above and beyond in communication and the crew did an amazing job on my roof as well as cleaning up around the property. Adam came out and met up with me for a walk-around to make sure I was happy with the result. I would definitely work with them again in the future.
