I recently had work done by the mader roofing company, after which I posted a comment here on Google. Less than 24 hours after I posted this honest account of our transaction. The owner(Larry mader) contacted us and said to take it down, or they could sue us. So i did. After consulting with family and legal advice I have chosen to repost my experience. The owner arrived to give us a quote, we talked briefly about the roof, at this time I asked if he should check the Attic to see if the wood was good, he flat out said it wouldn't be necessary. We like the price of the quote and felt like this company could handle the job, small residential roof. The owner(Larry) repeatedly called it an "easy job"his confidence was overwhelming. A few days his crew arrived on time, 15 minutes later the foreman knocks on my door, we can't do this job until you replace all the wood, whoa I thought the owner said it wasn't necessary. How much I asked? 3500$!! I went wow you need 3500$ on top of 5000$ just to do an " easy job"??? I was completely blown away, so I said give me a minute, hard to find 3500$ in your sofa !! So he continued to bang on the door till I gave in and said yes ok do it. It might have been the right thing but it's hard to tell, the owner didn't care, he got paid.. I'll never know if was necessary or a scam The whole situation was uncomfortable, and completely lacked transparency, and this is why I would not recommend maders roofing. I'd like to thank Google for giving me an opportunity to tell the truth, at least from my perspective
