November 29th, 2O17 To whom it may concern, Our firm has recently had the pleasure of working with Grand Valley Roofing and Coatings lnc. to re-roof 2 buildings at 3375 North Service Rd., Burlington over a 2-year period - combined over 12O,OO0 sq. ft. installing a new 4 ply built up roof system. They completed the work on time, on budget and with minimal disruption to our tenants. Their workmanship was above average and the site was left in a satisfactory condition - with no damage upon completion. All reports from site were that the workers represented themselves professionally and worked in safe manner throughout the entire project. Dirty, slow, LOUD, unprofessional, and filled with curse words. There are children that go to school across the street, this company has unacceptable standards. They also failed to strap down their wood on one roof, and the wind picked up and threw several 4 foot by 10 foot 1 inch thick boards down 5 floots into our parking lot directly at our vehicles. They left the property a filthy mess. Would never recommend this company. Time will tell if their work holds, but im worried other reviewers were right and their work will not survive more then a few storms. 1/5 stars, how unfortunate that this was the experience given the high price we had to pay.

We hired this company for a complete roof replacement. We had some difficulties with communication from the company, and the uncooperative weather delayed the installation for a while, which caused even more issues. After finally nailing down an installation date, our roof was installed. It looks great, and seems to be holding up well after all the storms we have had this year! The installers did do a bit of damage to our plants, and could have cleaned up better. Update: Our roof was damaged in the storm, and we asked the company for assistance, assuming it was under warranty. They responded they would take a look, and then promptly sent me a bill for the work. No quote, no communication, nothing. So, no warranty either?! Unimpressed.

This is by far the most RUDE + UNPROFESSIONAL company I've ever dealt with!! My partner and I had our car parked at a UHAUL Station where Grand Valley Roofers were working on the roof to replace some metal sheets. They obviously didn't produce a very high quality of work because on the same day after they left, one of the metal sheets fell off of the roof and landed on our car hood + bumper - leaving significant damage. For the first 2 weeks, Grand Valley Roofing completely ignored UHAUL's request to get in touch with them + us, and it wasn't until UHAUL decided to pay us themselves and send Grand Valley Roofing the bill that they finally contacted us. The first time we actually spoke to someone from the company, it was a woman named Wendy. The first words out of her mouth were "okay, so here's what you're going to do. Send me an email because you are not getting a single cent from us and we will be deciding how much we will pay to a shop." There was no "Hi, I'm Wendy, I'll be helping you with this." or even a "I'm sorry this happened." At no time was she apologetic for the fact that this even happened! During the entire phone conversation, she kept talking over me and raising her voice when I tried to speak. She hung up on us multiple times, and when I asked to speak to the owners she rudely + repeatedly said "They don't take phone calls or speak to customers. I'm in charge of this business. Anything else?" She continuously accused us of "trying to screw her over" before she even asked what happened or what our situation was. It has been almost 6 weeks and we are still dealing with them!!! They are continuously calling our mechanic/body shop and intimidating them trying to lower the price that they are required to pay, to the point where now what GVR is offering won't even cover the cost of fixing our car. I have NEVER in my life been treated with such disrespect - by any business or employee - and I will definitely not forget the interaction I had with Wendy. I will continue to tell people + many acquainted business owners my experience with Grand Valley Roofing. DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY!!! Advice to the owners: I'm a business owner myself, and your employees Wendy + Debbie are definitely NOT examples of people I would ever allow to project the values + customer service of my business.
