Recently had my garage roof replaced by these guys. Friendly service. Workman was very friendly and very tidy workers. Work was completed on time and to a very high standard. Highly recommend.

A E Higgs Roofing and Building Contractors recently completed a large extension on the back of my house and the end results are outstanding. We are so pleased with our new space and the time it was completed in. The A E Higgs workers were such lovely workmen to have around. They turned up on time everyday and never left until they had cleared all their equipment away, and left everything spotless (considering the work that was being done). Our extension has changed our house and the estimate we were given didn’t go a penny over budget. We were so pleased with the work we then had our flat roofing redone as it was next on our project list. This was also done to an excellent standard and I couldn’t fault the workmen, they were reliable, trustworthy, hardworking and actually a pleasure to have around. Be very wary. My wife and I moved in to our new build in August. Our heating isn't working properly, there is flooding by the side gate, the concrete used to seal in the roof tiles has crumbled away, our floor isn't fitted properly downstairs, the upstairs floorboards creak, and the showers weren't sealed properly (has been fixed). I have sent 11 e-mails along with a number of phone calls, starting on October 10th. I received my first reply on November 2nd, only when I started copying in the agent we bought through. I know there will be some issues, but the lack of communication has been disgraceful. The real problem is the heating, because our 2 year old keeps waking up cold at midnight because the thermostats don't work. I told them that on October 23rd. Its November 27th, and its not sorted out yet. But I am concerned about the flooding and the concrete crumbling away leading to damp problems. So be very careful if you are considering buying from this company, their aftercare is very poor, and they don't seem to care about fixing the problems with their work.
