As someone else said, this is now called The Rusty Gate Motel. The rooms are smaller but ours was clean and very comfortable. We chatted with Ray, who helps the owners run it. He was very friendly and helpful. The new cafe, which is across the road is closed on Monday and Tuesday, but we had breakfast there on Wednesday and it was pretty good.

The place is now called the Rusty Gate motel. It is easy to find and has been recently updated. Rooms are small but beds are comfortable. There is a microwave and refrigerator in the room. No hair dryer and no coffee maker. We had one plastic cup which had obviously been used before. Bathroom was clean. The room is heated by a floorboard heater so it takes a while for the room to warm up. There is no Verizon cell service in this area and the wi-fi was down. My 17 year old was not very happy! They do have a manager on site and he tried to fix it but was not successful.

Hospitality is outstanding.....great beds...clean remodeled rooms..HOT WATER is wonderful...NEW OWNERS are FANTASTIC & THEY have a new resturant. The RUSTY GATE CAFE..FANTASTIC FOOD & great service...a MUST on your trips through this area...great food & great R & R...we will be coming back...makes the journey all worthwhile...thankyou Mary Sue...♡♡♡
