Stanley Roofing Systems (SRS) 7687 Old Plank Road Stanley, NC 28164 RE: New Porch Roofing Steel • SRS states “order by Friday noon, material available for pickup next Wednesday” • SRS states on next Wednesday; “Your material wasn’t shipped as it was the only order and SRS would be charged just to deliver my order” • Had to send roofing crew home • SRS states I can’t cancel the order • SRS states material will be delivered Friday • SRS calls Friday stating the material was in • I drive to Stanley where SRS informs me material had in fact had not been delivered • SRS guy just stands there looking at me, says nothing, no apology, no offer to do anything at all to remedy, nothing • Cancelled order in tone of voice that he didn’t argue with • Looking for another steel roofing vendor • Have to reschedule the roofing crew, again • Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr……………… Obvious takeaway, SRS motto is surely “Caveat emptor” ("Let the buyer beware"). No doubt SRS is concerned only with their own best interests.
