I live in Waupun, (12 miles from Beaver Dam) and I called to get a repair estimate of my roof. The owner told me that because I lived in Waupun, he was going to need gas money. . . sounds fair, but he proceeded to tell me that it was going to be $55 because "Gas Ain't Cheap." I told him I thought that was a little steep and his reply was "Call someone else." If you are looking for an honest price and don't want to feel like you are inconveniencing your contractor, I would look for someone who has better customer service skills from the beginning.
