I found Chris and his team to be very efficient and trustworthy. The repair job CJB Roofing did on my roof valleys was of very high quality. I particularly appreciated Chris' attention to details and his willingness to explain the technical aspects of the work in layman terms. Having dealt with several roof companies before I have no hesitation to recommend CJB Roofing as the best one among them.

Do not trust this fraud! He will give you all the charm until it comes to actually doing a half decent job. I have been too traumatised to go into too much detail as I’ve had to put all this behind me but I do need to speak up to warn any future clients. I engagaed Chris to reroof an extension and to provide underfloor heating. Digging up the concrete was labour intensive but they got the job done sufficiently. However this is where the compliments end. The heating was fitted by a different company and it came to Chris and his men to lay a screed in preparation of tiling. It was done in two halves and a huge mound was left in the middle of the floor. One end of the room was higher than the other and the waves in the screed were terrible. I have to get another company in to correct the mess he left me with and now there is a step up into my dining room. He left the roof half way through without making it water tight to go on holiday. We had a discussion about the Velux windows which were the wrong size, he hadn’t had any draw plans up and just blagged it on site. He threw his toys out of his pram and left me with a leaking roof. I had to get another company to finish the job off. He damaged my property and left a 2.5 tonne pile of concrete on my drive for me to clear. Of course it went off and cost me £1000 to clear all the debris he left. He has insufficient knowledge of construction and left me £12k out of pocket! Don't believe the charm, he will as quickly turn on you. Do not trust this cowboy!!! 🤠

Chris Butcher of CJB carried out lead flashing work and replacement of a dormer roof. The flashing was good but the felt on the roof didn't look finished when he left the job, however I was assured there would be no more leaks. Sure enough, after the the first rain the dormer was leaking just the same - I rang Chris and he said he would fix it immediately at his own expense. That was over a year ago, and there have been many promises and appointments made and broken since then, and days waiting for scaffolders who never show. The dormer still leaks; another roofer has described the work as "completely inadequate". I paid over £4,000 for the privilege and will now be forking out more to rectify the situation. Chris and the team did a beautiful job on my property. This included repairing and replacing the soffits/fascias/bargeboards, painting and protecting all the wood and replacing all of the guttering. They are hard working, polite and friendly with a good attention to detail. Chris is a gentleman and explained everything from start to finish with progress along the way. I would not hesitate in using them again or recommending them to others.
