MET is a very experienced and long-established company, that provides ONLY metal roofing. They do one thing and they do it well, and the supplier of the metal MET uses (Englert) said MET buys a LOT of their product, so I knew they had a lot of experience. I researched contractors like crazy because I knew replacing a roof was going to be an expensive project that I wanted done right and never again. Major Threlkeld (the owner) personally measured the job and prepared the quote, which really distinguished MET from the other candidates from the get-go. He also visited multiple times during the work. The price I paid for the job was exactly in line with the competition, and I got the most experienced contractor for that same price. Metal costs more than tile, but has greater longevity, is more ENERGY-efficient and has offers way better wind and water protection. It also lasts longer and is less maintenance (less of that black mold tiles always get annually), so the difference in cost is recovered over the decades-long life span. After 2 years with my new roof I've found it to be incredibly low maintenance and as good looking as the day it was completed.
