Joan Klein review about company Seegers Roofing & Remodeling

We hired Seegars for a $22,000 roof last August. We liked dealing with them prior to starting but once the 2 man crew who spoke minimal English showed up we were wary. We gave them the benefit of the doubt and saw we were getting a hand nailed roof. They scratched up our soffitt paint and bent our front door cover and were in our yard for over a week! Never once during that week did someone from Seegars show up to check on the progress. When these 2 guys were done their trailer had a flat tire and sat in my circle drive another day. ( my husband aired up their tire so they could get it off of our property). I called Seegars about the soffitt paint and bent front door cover and they sent a guy out that acted very frustrated to be there even though I had him the paint and a ladder for ease of touchups. ( no mention of bent front door cover). Okay, a heavy rain comes in february and I am in Baton Rouge for work and my husband sends me pictures of water pouring into our hallway and flowing out of light switches!! Never before with our old roof had we ever had water come in our home!! So of course, we call Seegars again. Some guy comes out and puts some flashing on the corner where it was determined to be leaking into our home. He was there for 20 minutes. We have never even had a call back from the company!! I would highly recommend against using them as we are now "in a pickle " if we want to put our home on the market due to the disclosure law of water leakage. We are looking at hiring an individual contractor to check for mold in our walls and another roofing company to look at the corner they "patched". That was a big chunk of change for a roof that has problems already!! Look elsewhere!!
