Jim and his crew are amazing. I've worked in the trades and know "it" when I see it. Jim is not just a broker/sales person, he's a roofing enthusiast. A person who really thinks about this stuff. He was able to spot and point out problems with the old roof we had in ways that made it clear that he knows what his business is about. 1. We received several quotes, and though his was not the lowest, it was quite competitive. Some of the other folks left us wondering how long they had been at this, and some were very knowledgeable, but we felt most comfortable with Jim. 2. His crew did a top-rate job. Fast, hard-working, polite and skilled. These guys should be studied as an example of extreme efficiency. They truly know what they are doing. 3. Showed up at 7am, had the two layers off by noon, repaired rotted wood, cut slats for ridge vents, hauled off most of the debris, and had the vast majority of the new material on by nightfall. 4. They do it right. Was watching them cut the vent slats and seeing the sawdust on the underlayment. Wondered if they would leave it on or not. Nope. Out came the leaf blower and they cleaned the roof before laying the shingles. No one would ever know after the shingles were on, but it's the right way to do it so the tiles get good adhesion. Drilled and screwed the new flashing to the chimney and laid the metal with a turn-out so the deflected water wouldn't just run in one channel. Lots of little details like this. 5. Finished up the second day and left our yard amazingly clean. Tarped the attic to protect our stuff. Protected our nice European 4" gutters by tacking some old shingles on over them. Never seen a roofer do this, but sure was appreciated, and it was far more efficient as well. There is a lot of stress when trusting someone with this much money, material and mess. We are glad we took a bet on Jim and his crew. They deserve the praise! Thanks y'all.
