I paid thousands for a house full of windows. Windows that are supposed to have a lifetime warranty, save at least 49 percent on heating costs, made with extremely hard and high-quality materials & have tax deductable interest. "They pay for themselves" is what the salesman said. "If you ever have a problem with them, give us a call and it will be taken care of" he said. Maybe I can thank them for teaching me not to be so naive as a homeowner when a salesperson walks in the door. The tabs that hold the double hung windows partially open are broken on almost every window. The brittle metal hinges on the double hung windows break very easily. I now have a broken window that will not open and in order to have service on my lifetime warranty window there's a $125 fee, it's in the contract (valuable lesson number 2, read the contract). After I financed the windows, I tried to deduct the interest. This is where I learned the third valuable life lesson that just because they say the interest is deductible when you sign your contract, that doesn't mean that it is. There are NO other business transactions I've experienced in my entire life where I'm less satisfied then I am with Appleby systems. Zero stars for me.
