Anna Werner review about company Elk Construction - Roofing & Siding

Elk has been working on the condos I live in for around six months or longer. I’ve tried to call the company to speak with someone only to be directed to dead ends by their answering system, so I will offer some constructive criticism here. Please consider that people have to live where you are working. I have walked out of my front door to see drink bottles strewn through the landscaping many times. This is disrespectful to the people who pay hard earned money to live where they do. Painting both sets of a building’s stairs so that people cannot get up or down is not the best use of common sense. I literally had to ask a woman to get off a ladder so I could crawl through the gap underneath it to get down the stairs. There was no offer to move the ladder, just an expectation that I figure out how to get around it, which I was able to do because I am young and able bodied, but we have older folks living in our building who would not be able to do the same. Again, please exercise some consideration for other people. Lastly, flyers were posted on the doors of my building giving us notice that painting would begin the following week - except, that the flyers were actually meant for the building next to ours. So those folks were not informed of when to clear their balconies for painting. A couple of weeks later, I came home to see that plastic had been put up over all of our windows and balcony doors. Nobody from my building been given any notice to remove our belongings from the balconies. This resulted in all of my plants dying from lack of watering and my grill and outdoor chairs being flecked with paint. I walked around the building to be sure that I hadn’t just missed a memo, but everyone else still had furniture on their balconies. Thank you in advance for addressing these issues.
