Recently, we and our upstairs neighbours had a wall of our house re-pointed, along with chimney and roof repairs, carried out by Traditional Roofing and Building. Because our house is a listed building, we needed to be certain that any work done would be to the standards required for such a property. We requested estimates from a number of firms for this job, although two sets of relatives had already used Traditional Roofing and Building within the past few years and were very satisfied with the work completed. We were impressed by the specific detail about work needed, quantity, etc. in the estimate from Traditional Roofing and Building. Although their estimate was not the cheapest, we decided to contract that company. We were impressed by the openness and transparency of their work and communication, including an invitation to go up on the scaffolding to look at the work being done. Scott kept us up-to-date with the progress for the work and was always willing to answer specific questions. We consider that the company’s work was done reliably and to a high standard. The workmen were cheerful and pleasant, seemed to work well as a team and to take a pride in their work. We were particularly impressed by the end-of-job inspection by Scott to check that all the work had been completed to the standards required. All in all, we would be happy to use this firm again and intend to do so for the next stage of work for our building.

Had a roof leak and had worked with Traditional before. They were quick, honest and professional. The work was carried out within a few days of accepting the quote, and worked first time. Happy to recommend them.

Another conman group of shysters. Caused severe damage to my ceiling with a flood due to badly repaired roof and would not repair the damage. Avoid this company at all costs, cannot believe how dishonest they are.

After getting a number of quotes for a communal roof repair, we decided to go with Traditional Roofing, and very happy we did. Scott has made the whole process as straightforward as possible, has actively found solutions to issues that occurred along the way (at no extra cost) and has been a delight to deal with from start to finish. The guys that did the job were on site early in the mornings, and were a personable and cheerful bunch. Overall I'm really impressed with the job, and at a price which seems entirely reasonable and value for money.

A very thorough and professional approach from this firm from initial survey to completion. Very pleasant roofers, taking a pride in their work. Firm used for the scaffolding was Lindsays, also impressive. Recommend.
