My wife and I had the good fortune of building a custom home with D&S Construction in 2015. We love every inch of the place, and can't imagine having gone through the process with any other builder. Prior to our first conversation about the house, we'd met Sean just once, quickly; and we didn't know Doug or Mitch at all. By the end of the process, we considered all three of them to be good friends. That's really saying something, given all the back and forth involved in designing and building a custom home---all the conversations, negotiations, decisions, revisions, etc. My wife and I are very particular, detail-oriented people, and I'm sure working with us would have driven the average builder crazy. We may have given Sean and Mitch some gray hair; but they had sincere smiles and warm handshakes every time they saw us. Above all, we knew that they all cared -- genuinely and deeply -- about our happiness, not just while the house was being built but also as we live in it for decades to come. They were patient (over the course of literally hundreds of phone calls, emails, and texts), honest (about pricing, construction processes/materials, etc.), prompt and clear in their communication, flexible (including when we needed to make a late change here or there), open to our ideas (including the eccentric ones), accommodating to us being onsite, and attentive to detail. In the end, the house is totally unique (in part thanks to the reclaimed barn wood they incorporated), and everything we'd hoped it would be---and we paid what we consider to be a reasonable price for it. We give D&S our highest recommendation!

D&S Construction completed a 1200 square foot in-law addition to our home this year. We are very pleased with the finished product. They did an excellent job of marrying our home to the addition to provide continuity. Although it is difficult to have construction taking place while you are residing in the environment D&S made it as pleasant an experience as possible. They were professional, courteous, and considerate concerning our privacy and did not interrupt our lifestyle. Their subcontractors were professional and courteous as well. We are extremely satisfied with the quality and completion of the construction. Any extra costs incurred during the building were clarified and approved by us. Change order charges were reasonable and expected. The few small items that were questioned were completed to our satisfaction. They cleaned their workplace daily and were conscientious of not disrupting our neighbors environments (concerning parking, noise, etc.). They gave us a tentative completion date, but we originally did not need to have an exact date. As the project progressed it became necessary to have that exact date met (my parents needed to vacate their sold home to the new owners). They were able to meet that goal; my parents moved in on the exact promised date. We have built 3 times and that has never happened before. We would utilize D&S construction for any future projects.
